Christmas Give Away!

It's the most wonderful time of the year....
Don't you agree? I just love Christmas the lights, the gifts and of course the true meaning remembering the miracle of Christ birth.
I happen to LOVE this picture! We never believed in Santa we were always taught it was just a fun story. But when you have a dad that looks just like Santa it's kind of hard not to dress him up and have Jeremy pose with him!
I also thought it would be a great picture to begin my annual Christmas Giveaway that I started last year.
My lips are sealed this year about what the gift will be but I promise you, you won't be disappointed (Or at least I hope you won't.)
We are going to have a little twist this year. Every time you enter you need to tell me something different about Christmas, tradition, movie, song, special thing at church, best childhood memory etc.
Enter as many times as you want my bloggy producer Mackenzie is working on a button. When she has it on my blog grab it and put it on your blog and let me know that will count for an extra point!
The give away will end December 9th.
Enter....enter...enter and HAVE FUN!!

Oo, a giveaway!! Fun, fun! (And yes, your Dad is perfect for that! Is that your Christmas-card picture this year?! :) )

Hmm...okay, how's this: I love the song "O Holy Night". One of my favorite memories of hearing that song actually wasn't around Christmas time though, it was in July!! I was at an outdoor concert and Gerald Wolfe sang it--and it was beautiful. It was just so neat being outside with the stars shining above and hearing it...'O, Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining...'

A favorite Christmas memory was always getting the Sears Wishbook! (the original one... the one that was so heavy it could easily pull your arm right out of it's socket if you weren't careful, not that measly thing you get now which is nothing more than a glorified flyer!!) So much fun just pouring over the toy section and folding down the edges of all the "baby doll" pages!

By the way, the pic of your dad and your brother is just too cute! Santa should have his pic taken with all the little ones in the family. I'm sure they would treasure it!

I NEVER win anything, but I'll give it a try... :)

a favorite memory of mine is eating a BIG breakfast the first thing Christmas morning. While we're eating, we each go through a gift big filled with little stocking stuffers. Opening them all up is almost as fun as the "tree" gifts! :)

Courtney, Jer.33:3 said...

A memory of long ago is when I knocked the tree over while digging under it for gifts.....LOL!

Ok, I shall enter. Hmm...last year when we were putting up the tree we got it all up and decorated and then sat down on the couch to rest...and it fell in my lap. :D No serious damage done though.

Another memory......watching Scrooge with Daddy.

Yet another, getting the giggles one year during my angel part in the church's Christmas program. Terrible thing to have in front of an audience! LOL!

Oh, here's another one: One year when my nephew was maybe five he was in the Christmas concert at our church, supposedly singing with the other kiddies in an angelic choir. Not so. He GRABBED the mic and started making very loud noises into a VERY hot mic, while his mortified aunt melted into a small puddle of embarrassment. :D Now we laugh about it every Christmas, though.

One of our family traditions is to have my dad sit by the tree with the chosen grandchild of the year...dad picks out a gift, reads the name, and the little one delivers the gift. They think it's sooo special. :)

Ok, do I qualify as a comment-hog yet? Anyways...every Christmas my sister and I watch "White Christmas" and "It's A Wonderful Life" together. :)

I love opening christmas cards and seeing who sent them in the mail!!!

Jennifer said...

Ok Maybe one more time..lol

I love this local play in town called an andy griffin christmas play:)

Jennifer said...

Ok Just one more favorite...

I love riding through town on Christmas eve and seeing everything shut down and closed!! It reminds me of the night jesus was born;) where everything was silent and quiet and peaceful

Jennifer said...

Ohh just remembered one more:) Watching A Christmas story 24/7 on tbs..lol..lol

Anna Joy said...

I'm running out of memories! :)

Hmm...well when I was younger I would always get sick when I was really nervous or excited. So for years it was a "tradition" for my to...uh...lose my dinner every Christmas Eve. :P One I do not regret ending!

When are you going to announce who won?

Anna Joy said...

Okay, here's another bad Christmas memory.

Two years ago this Christmas Day we found out that both of my grandparents have Alzheimer's.

And a happy one so I won't make you depressed:

My sister and I buy each other "Christmas Eve gifts" every year....Christmas toe socks to wear on Christmas Day. We is a li'l' bit weird. :D
