It's Been A While.
Have I really only posted one other time since last Monday? This is very sad. I am sorry for my lack of posting but, if it's any consolation at all, I have been busy. Very, very busy!!
Yesterday, when I heard my alarm clock and pressed the snooze button, I tried very hard to open my eyes, I then started on my make up, which is my morning routine. As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror applying mascara to my lashes, I needed to think of what day it was.
"Is it Tuesday? No, it's Friday...is there a game today?...Oh man it's Sunday. I am getting ready for church, aren't I ?" Yes, I agree that this little scenario is very scary but, it is also very true!!
So, here I am a little more rested and once again getting ready for tomorrow. For snack tomorrow, I am making chocolate chip cookies. That's right, I am, really, I am. Oh man, my conscience will not let me tell a half truth, okay a lie, a big, hairy lie. My mom is making the cookies. But, I will put a little dab of dough on the cookie sheets. That counts for something, right??
Ohhh...I am making the cookies. I am just not making the batter. So technically, I am making the cookies just not the batter. The cookies have to be made, right? I mean, what would a kid do if I just set a bowl of batter in front of him? Okay, so now cross out what I said before. I wasn't lying. I am going to make the cookies.
For all my sport fanatics out there...okay so I really don't know if any of my blog readers are sport fanatics, but if you are, is anyone excited that the Patriots have made it to the Superbowl?? Frankly, I could care less but, if I want peace in the house I act very, very excited!! LOL
Next, on my agenda, I need to scream at the top of my lungs congratulations to one of my very special blogging buddies Jessica. Jessica just got married to her new husband, Ronnie, this past Saturday. Of course Jessica hasn't updated her blog yet but, her new mother- in- law Julie just posted a whole bunch of pictures of the wedding on her blog. So, go check it out. I would've left a comment but, once again, my computer was not cooperating.
Now, I should end for now, so I can make those cookies!!!:)

Blessings
Aren't you thankful for God's blessings on His children? I certainly am.
Yesterday, I went to school thinking it was just an ordinary day and then I received a blessing that just made me smile.
The other night my sister and I were looking up real life Christian love stories on the net and one story in particular made me stop and think and gave me food for thought. That was a blessing.
That same night I found a blog and it's owner was somebody I had met years ago and I have always wondered where that family was now. That was a blessing.
Eating snack yesterday and having a little girl look directly into my eyes and whisper "I love you" Was a sweet little blessing.
I am reminded often that life is not for whining and complaining which I have done my share of but, to rejoice that I am saved and that God sure hands out blessings to me especially when I need them most!
Think about it...pray about it...and start enjoying those blessings!

Day to myself
Monday is usually the day that I don't need to go to the school. So, this is the day when I plan for tomorrow, getting games ready, snacks and finding something to wear (my least favorite thing to do) It's also when I try to get some things done that I need to get done. Like cleaning my room, blogging and trying to find an outfit for an upcoming wedding I am attending.
So far I've thought about the outfit I am going to wear to the wedding and I am blogging right now. LOL...and yes that's all. I really need to clean my room. It hasn't seen a vacuum in a long time!!
Lets see, I subbed for K4 (also known as preschool) on Thursday. It was originally going to be only for half the day but ended up being the whole day. It went really well. Except for the accident with my lemon ade spilling all over my tacos, that is!!
I have a favor to ask all of you. I would like you to pray for a fellow blogger. A few months ago I didn't know she even existed, but since I've found her blog I have fallen in love with it!! Her husband is in the Marines and just left I believe, for over seas, for thirteen months. Go over there and check it out...Ashleigh's....heart and home
Alright...I am heading off to my construction sight. Until next time!

I would like to thank....
Last night I found out by going over to Jessica's Journal that I among five others had been presented with "Blogging with a Purpose" award. Since this is my first blogging award since I started last April I was pretty excited!!
Now I am suppose to link what Jessica said about me... Ginger ~ at Pieces Of My Heart She has been an blessing to me since I met her on here!! Thanks for all your encouraging comments Ginger!! :)
And link her blog to mine which I already did and now I have to do the hard task of picking five bloggers I think deserve this award. Some people may think of it as a silly little blog award thingy people do. But I decided I was going to really think about who I think deserves this.
So here it goes...the tension is high as I name these special bloggers please no applauding until I am done thank you!
Courtney ~ I have mention time and time again that Courtney was the first blogger I had found when I started. And she has been a blessing to me ever since. Her posts are both encouraging and humorous.
Joshua and Caleb ~ These young men (LOL...they are not much younger than I. I'm sounding like I am 200 again!) Are actually Courtney's brothers. I just recently started checking their site often and wow I say!! If you don't want to get convicted or have your heart do a flip flop I would suggest you not go over there!
Jen~ She is also a fairly new blogger I check often. She plainly has a heart for the Lord. Her
posts large or small always have something interesting in them.
Anna Joy~ I absolutely love going over to this young girls blog. There are too many times to count that I have read one of her posts and couldn't control my laughter.
Morgan Denise~ Besides being completely envious of her living in KY seeing Southern Gospel singers in the grocery store and actually knowing Mitchell Tole!! (A really great artist who has painted portraits of legendary SG artists) lol...I totally enjoy her posts from politics all the way down to her adorable niece!!
I know five was my limit but I had to save the one blogger who I have known practically her whole life and who has been my sister's best friend for practically their whole life. More recently has become a pretty close friend to me. Mackenzie~I have always thought that her blog being named Mackenzie's Heart fit her to a "T" This girl is a treasure and every post if it's silly or serious comes from her heart.
Okay, now you may applaud!!! LOL....Thanks again Jessica!!

Where Does The Day Go?
At the risk of sounding a hundred and two, I can't believe, fathom, take in how fast time flies. It is already Monday evening and I am now thinking about what to wear tomorrow. At least I have lunch already planned. I am bringing a microwavable pizza. Smart huh? Yup...I thought so.
Well, once again the snow has fallen and landed so nicely on our horseshoe driveway. What a joy to look forwarded to once again, walking half of that driveway to get to the car tomorrow. I feel like I am Moses walking though the red sea. LOL...I am serious, I have two huge piles of snow on either side of me and a small little path to follow to dry ground.
On Tuesdays I have been bringing snacks for the kids at school. Last week I brought celery sticks and I had them put cream cheese or peanut butter on them and then had them sprinkle raisins on top of them. They then had ants on a log! A kindergarten memory of mine. It was so fun to do it with my students now!
Tomorrow I am bringing banana bread and cream cheese. I know, not so exciting after the ants on a log but hey, it was a last minute decision. Maybe next week I will have something a tad more creative.
So, has everyone read mine and Carole's discussion on my last post? LOL...It was fun playing around. We really don't mind that people think we look alike. We ourselves truly do think we resemble each other. Although....I do think it's going a little far when people say we look identical. If you don't know what I am talking about, scroll down and read and comment. We want to hear what you think!
Well, I am very proud of myself that I actually posted two days in a row. I hope everyone will have a lovely evening tonight!! Until next time...

Double Trouble
*Ginger*Okay Carole, we have to make this quick we have to get ready for church soon.
*Carole* Yeah...yeah okay....even though we don't have to leave for almost two hours. But whatever!
*Ginger* Carole don't you give me that sass girl! We are going to make a neat post for my blog we are going to talk about how fun it is to be sisters.
*Carole* Fun? Really fun! lol...I am just kidding dear, of course we have fun. Remember that time I pushed you off your bed? Now that was fun!!
*Ginger* Let's not get into that again!! Let's discuss how lately everyone thinks we are twins!
*Carole* I don't get that we look NOTHING alike. Everybody knows I have the better looking eyes.
*Ginger* (Rolling her eyes) Well, if we look nothing alike, why did that salesperson, yesterday, ask me if we were identical?
*Carole* She was a blond...oh yeah so are you! Oops!!
*Ginger* Meanie!!! Also everyone at my work sees our faces on my desk and asks if we are twins!!
*Carole* Dear, did you mention that your viewing audience at school is a bunch of five and six year olds!
*Ginger* Carole...I have told you that even teachers have wondered!
*Carole* Well...I don't know...but isn't it time for you to get ready for church??
*Ginger* You are trying to get rid of me. It won't work!
*Carole* Let's not forget one little thing we also have been getting the dreaded question for you. Am I older???
*Ginger* Oh, now you've done it. I am feeling my blood pressure rise! For everyone who is reading this very intriguing post. I am two and a half years older then this trouble maker!!!!
*Carole* Trouble maker?? I am just pointing out the truth!! You know it's wrong to lie...I couldn't say that everyone asks if I am your daughter.
*Ginger* Ahh...well then I would be frightened if some strange person came up to me and asked if my eighteen year old sister is my daughter. I might be more scared than I was of crazy Altoids, acid lady.
*Carole* LOL....Is it tangy yet???
*Ginger* (Shutters)
*Carole* I had a weired dream last night. Do you want to hear about it?
*Ginger* Oh I would, but we are just out of time. Maybe another time okay sweetie?
*Carole* But....it was about Obama. He became president talk about shutters.
*Ginger* Oh dear not politics. Carole be quiet, okay nice chatting!
*Carole* Not so fast I have to end this conversation. Now, to all Ginger's blogging friends or just readers that come by but don't comment. We have a job for you let us know if you think we look like twins? Or if I look older!
*Ginger* Carole....
*Carole* I said I am ending this!!! LOL...now tell us what you think!!

*Yawn*
Bed...oh, just the word coming from the tips of my fingers sounds delightful. I have been home from mid-week service for a few hours now and still haven't found the comfort of my bed. Lunch already packed and my outfit already picked out. I ask you, bloggy people, why am I still up??
I guess the true answer is I needed to write a post on my little nook so I wouldn't have guilt in the wee hours of the morning while getting ready for school. Nothing too enlightening happened today to interest anyone, though.
Hmmm...I need to leave you with something profound, something to get you through the night or morning or whatever time of the day you may be reading this. But what, my dear friend, what should I say??....zzzzzzz. Oooppss...Sorry about that. I fell into a very uncomfortable slumber for a moment. I am afraid on top of the laptop is a horrible place to fall asleep!!
Yes, I am afraid, I have to admit that I am just trying fill in some space, trying to pull the wool over your eyes and make you think your reading a very long thought out post. But, unfortunately I am failing miserably.
So, I am going to say goodnight!

One of those moments
Do you ever have one of these moments? You actually have time to blog, you want to blog but, every word, every subject, every tad of information you want to spill out on this blank white sheet on your computer screen just freezes in your brain?
And whatever you had been thinking about writing all day (in my case, while hugging a child as I pass her in the hall or eating ants on a log with a bunch of children) disappears as soon as you set up your laptop on your kitchen table, wait for it to load, and then see the Internet cross before your eyes.
Doesn't that just drive you insane?
Although, I love writing about nothing in particular. Especially when it actually turns out alright and I have comments to prove it! It's almost like a big surprise package. I rummage through the old files in my mind, trying to pick something, anything to entertain, inspire, or make my reader giggle.
A blog is so fun to have. When I daydream about being a writer, I can just hop on my blog and write a post. And then sometimes within minutes, other times hours, sometimes even days, I get to hear from my readers. A smile appears on my face when I read that my trip to the grocery store made them fall on the floor laughing, or how my experience on a normal day of school brought chills to their hearts.
Most of all I love sharing my faith. I love to be able to talk about my Savior so freely on my blog. How He saved me from the depths of hell when I was a little girl in a Sunday school room. How I knew when I prayed such a simple prayer that my life had changed at that moment.
I think I am pleased at how this post came out even if I didn't have a subject in mind. I was still able to share One of those moments with you.

Just stopping by...
I am sorry about these short, sporadic, little posts that I leave from time to time. Tonight my excuse is I am tired, I have been down with the cold bug for a few days and am just tired!! As I type this I am watching a cute movie called "The Ultimate Gift." I'll let you know how it turns out.
I think I am going to make my legendary snack I love to make. It's an original name called "Cheese and Chips" You get some tortilla chips and some monterrey jack cheese and slice up the cheese on the chips, spread them on a cookie sheet and then put them in the oven for about nine minutes on 350 degrees. They are delicious!!
The ostrich footprints lol...ended up being turkey footprints but it was quite interesting to think it was ostrich footprints at a eleven o clock at night, a little sleep deprived and just happy to be out of the car after a looooong ride home.
Okay, I am closing for now have a good night!

Hi There!
No it's not your imagination, you are actually reading an updated post!! I know I wrote a quick one the other night. But it was just a small tease to say I wrote one, so I wouldn't feel too bad when my blog surfaced in my mind and I did the math in my head and figured out how long I had neglected my small corner on the net.
Christmas was a delight. I enjoyed all my gifts, I think my top three were a television series The Cosby Show that my parents gave me, a whole Karen Kingsbury series (also from my parents) and an MP3 player that my Mimi (grandmother) gave me. I also received an MP3 speaker from Mackenzie and Snowflake earrings from her adorable little sister Maddie.
We went down to visit our family and friends the day after Christmas and stayed for a few days. We had a wonderful time and it was a little sad when we packed up all our luggage and many gifts to head back to our neck of the woods.
Although it was with a happy heart thinking about starting school again. The first day I went back I subbed for the kindergarten teacher and it went really well. (My apologies to Mackenzie and Mrs.H for not calling yet) With a heavy heart I stayed home today. Yesterday at school I was catching a cold with every other word I spoke I sneezed. LOL...So I slept all day today and I still sound pretty bad!
Back to Christmas. Carole had a great birthday. Her big present was a digital camera. To answer Morgan Denise's question, my parents did decided to name her Carole before she was actually born on Christmas. She was named after our Aunt Carol.
Well, I have more to write about like the ostrich foot prints in our yard when we arrived home Sunday night. Also about when we opened our back door with luggage in our hands and snow up to our knees, the vision that greeted us in the living room was a Christmas tree that was falling apart.
LOL...goodnight!

Ahh wonderful times...
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I sure did. I need to get up for work tomorrow so I can't stay on long.
I thank all of you for checking my blog regularly and I apologize for not having a new post every time you stop by.
Hopefully I will do better this year. I thought you would all enjoy a picture of myself and one of my adorable nephews.
It was a joy to visit our family for a few days this picture is of me and Patrick saying good bye.
