The other day I was teaching and some how the lesson was interupted (the students are experts at that) with a very interesting statement. "My mommy is old but Miss P_______ is much older."
My eyes turned as wide as saucers as I looked up from my lesson plan at the front. "I am older than your mommy?"
The adorable little blond boy gave me a wide eyed grin and with a nod of his head of assurance we started back to our lesson.

I have tagged you Ginger! :)
hahaha, that's so cute! I've heard of kids thinking that their teachers were so old, but when they bumped into them all grown up, it turns out they were only in their 20's or 30's while they were teaching...
So funny!
Nice. (Let me guess, Decklyn? :)
I know (from 106 years of experience) that teaching can sometimes add years to your age. But after just a few weeks?! I thought that only happened with a certain pair of twins!!
Look at it this way, maybe he equates age with wisdom and he actually thinks that you are wiser than his mom.
See, now the glass is half full.
Welcome the world of brutal honesty.
Oh, yes!! Kids DO have a way of interupting, don't they? I know that by teaching Sunday School. LOL!! One minute you think they're listening with wonder!!! The next minute you're like, "Where did that come from??" LOL!!
Yes, that was so cute. I can tell you what else is old.....this post.
