Beware A Long Post Is Coming!

It's been a while so I thought you may need a picture of me to refresh your memory! Here I am Ginger the blogger you never see.

The last time I blogged on here my cell phone which was right next to me was being filled with missed calls. After I pushed published I looked at my phone and little did I know those miss calls would be etched in my heart forever.

Carole was calling me to inform me that our father may have had a stroke. After many tests we found out he indeed did have a stroke from the heart.

Our dad has had many health issues in the last couple of years and let me tell ya it has scared this girl something fierce.

Yet, it has also brought me closer to my Lord.

Well, I'm getting tired so my long post is not that long after all. But beware I have one swarming in mind so at some point I will jot it all down! :)

The Wind.

Blogging was my wind at one point. You hear the wind blow at times....not raging just blowing...you tend to stop put your face towards the sun and let the cold wind blow through your face. Refreshing.

I have forgotten that blogging can give me that same refreshing feeling. It has been months. Yet it's not canceled. It hasn't gone to a blogaway dumpster. Instead it just sits.

Waiting.

Wondering.

Hoping.

The author who had started this blog years ago would pick up her fingers and start to type.

"Here I am! My little blog. Here I am again"

It has been a while and I wonder if anyone will even see this post. I some times long for the days without Facebook, twitter, texting...when all of us "writers" clicked "publish" instead of "send" when we all would be having conversation or debates...;) right in our comment boxes. I long for the day when something funny happened I didn't throw open my phone and jot it down in a status box but I went home on the old family computer and wrote it down. Giggling with my mom who would help me edit my posts.

I sometimes long for the simple days.

Although, I don't hate Facebook...twitter....etc I would probably would be lost without it. Although I do miss this nook. I miss being a faithful blogger.

That is it all for now. Just a random "Hello" So "Hello" out there! ;)

It's been to long....

I have so much missed this blog. Yet, I have trouble posting. Time and life get in my my way. Yet, I still smile when I think of this sweet blog.
I decided I would post about my sweet brother. Isn't he getting big?

Mr.Jeremy is now 3 years old. He is my love bug. He enjoys everything including cuddling with me when I get home from school. ;)

He is such a big Uncle to Carole's little lady Alana. He is also becoming quite the little artist.

He loves Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and of course my fave Arthur!

He calls my kindle and my phone..."Gingy and Jeremy's kindle." "Gingy and Jeremy's phone." Love it!

Oh you couldn't even begin to guess how nice it felt to blog!

Hope all of you will have an amazing Thanksgiving!!

Stress and Strife need faith and prayer

At 4:30 this morning when I woke up I started thinking about writing on here and how my post would go.

Within these couple of years I have found that life in no picnic. I have always known that but when little bits of real life problems start arising in your own life it makes it all the more real.

Getting ready to head to the hospital this morning was okay but I was uneasy I was annoyed with the little things my eye liner getting on my face when I sneezed or the way heat was getting to my stomach.

I went down stairs after getting ready smelling the eggs my mom made me on the table. My dad was washing the dishes his Bible on the table looking like every other morning I can remember but today at this ridiculous hour in the morning was not a normal morning.

This particular morning was the morning my dad was having surgery.

Some people may think we are nuts but we are a close knit family and we want to support our daddy in every way. And if that means getting up at 4:30 to go to the hospital with him thats what we are going to do.

But as I was stressing and fretting in my heart over dad's surgery I knew that God was handling it. He always does. He also reminded me that it could be worse. We have Jeremy with us and we have found a spot in the hospital that is made just for kids but it's also on the center of kids with cancer. And it's been heartbreaking seeing parents coming in this corner asking for cards for food, or fuel and naming their child's illness. My heart is breaking in heart.

Yes...my daddy has cancer and yes it truly makes my life shutter with fear but he is having surgery on it and it's looking real good.

And these families...who knows what hope they have?

I hope beyond hope they have the Lord.

I am so thankful we do.
