One thing we are having a hard time finding....

We went to the award ceremony for the art contest Mackenzie had won best of show in today. She looked just beautiful and I will have some pictures up soon. I will also try to post pictures of me and my sister and brother in our Easter attire maybe after church and before dinner tomorrow afternoon.

Now...back to my title we went shopping after the ceremony and we were once again trying to find a decent maternity section in just ONE of the stores we went to every store either had VERY little or NO maternity section at all. My poor mommy! It was just so annoying!! She is growing out of her skirts for church and she can't find one maternity skirt that isn't way above the knee that is. Yes, they actually make mini maternity skirts for pregnant women go figure!

Well, it's getting pretty late and I want to look some what human for tomorrow so I guess I will end for now!!

Have a wonderful Easter!:)

For Me!

I wrote this in my junior year of high school.

I could hear the whip hit His back countless times.
The blood was more than I could stand. As it stained His skin.
I could hear them laughing, cussing. Raging. Causing Him pain.
How they loved the sound of His suffering.

When the crown of thorns had been placed upon His brow
The thorns had pricked His precious skin.
The crimson blood stained His face and tears escaped.
I could hear the hammering of the nails…
It seemed it would not stop. The sounds were too much to bear.
My eyes could not leave the hammer that kept on moving.
The nail just kept on digging into His skin.

The agony was heavy as they hammered His feet to that tree.
Such suffering He endured.
For me.

I could feel the crowd grow restless. The air was thick with their angry screams.
A soldier came from the mob and spat on my Savior.
But from Jesus came no hate. His face only showed love.
"Why?" I thought to myself. " Why would Christ do this for me?"

Then my heart understood. I was a prisoner of my sin.
My Lord has purchased my freedom with amazing love.
As I finally recollect the price he had to pay.
With the words, "It is finished." He died upon that old tree.

I could not help my trembling as I saw Him. Lifeless.
For me.

Three days later I heard the talk around town. "Jesus had risen!"
My heart could not stop leaping as I stumbled through the crowd.
This same Jesus, rising in the clouds, would leave me with a promise.
He will come again.

For me.

*Yawning*

I am so tired. However, I needed to show you an update on the mural.

BIG NEWS: I found an Easter dress today!! It's always so hard trying to find an outfit I like for Easter but I found one and I really like it!!:)

Oh, also while I was out I found this adorable lime green purse it was so pretty! However, it cost $38.00 it's better than the original price which was $89.00 but I just couldn't purchase a purse over $20.00 it just was not going to happen...but...sigh I so wanted it!:)

She still working on it...

It's just the coolest that there is going to be a sweet little infant in this house in just a few months. When I look at mom I sometimes just giggle. Her back is arch in just a way while she turns to look at me and I see that growing belly staring at me. It's so much fun!! Yes, here is another glimpse I saw when I came home from school today.

Okay, not what I thought..

*Teacher* ((ME)).............."So, class Easter is this Sunday and we are going to learn the true meaning of Easter."

We learned about the Crucifixion of our dear Christ. How He rose again three days later and that He is coming again.

We talked about Salvation and I was sharing about the time when I got saved. They are only four and five years old but they are so smart!

Anyhow, I was really getting into the lesson they seemed to be grasping what I was teaching and I was getting so excited.

After Bible a student came up to me and said "Miss_______ can I tell you something?" "Of course!" "When I get home I am going to write a list." "A list?" My mind started working "Wow, this is great! They are really getting it! Is he going home and writing a list in his adorable straight as a ruler hand writing about the many ways he is thankful that Jesus died for him?...Or write about the real true reason of Easter?.....my mind couldn't go on any longer for he spoke up again. "Yes, I forgot to write a list for the Easter bunny he won't know what to get me."

*Sighing heavily* Not exactly what I was hoping for...

UPDATE: This is what the mural looked like when I came home from school today.:)

The Baby's Mural

This mural is already turning out beautiful and my mom just started on it Friday!! And from the time I took this picture a few hours ago it has already changed Tigger has his black stripes and looks just about done and I think piglet is being worked on as I type. There will be a big book next to the Winnie The Pooh and friends where different story characters will be popping out.

Would you like to help??

Today was a very exciting day my mom started painting the mural in the babies room!! Even as I type that out I want to laugh. The babies room??? Is this really happening?? My mom is having a baby??LOL

A few times today my mom and I were discussing this very thing. "Can you believe it?" Our conversation would go. "Who would have thought last year when you were doing your
grandaughter's nursery you would be doing your own sons the next year??"

Well, the fact of the matter it's true and I for one am thrilled beyond words.

And so I wanted to ask my bloggie people to help us out.

We are thinking of story characters to go on the mural and I was wondering if you could give us your favorite character from a story book.

I will be waiting to see what you come up with...

By the way my personal favorite is Arthur sigh...love the books and the show!!:)
