Needing to post something...

Trying to decide what to have for lunch. What should I have? Help me out people help me out!!

Please pray for my mom. She hurt her shoulder and is in a lot of pain!! Mimi, now my mom yes I guess it's hereditary. Eeek...I certainly hope it stops at mom. I'd rather not get hurt!

So this means my family's destination time to arrive here has been delayed. :(

Still trying to think of something to eat...

I have been reading the same novel for four weeks.

I am officially on my summer vacation.

I broke a nail.

Needing to eat something...

Okay, I think I have bored you all enough.

Food I need to eat some food.

Missing you...

I am enjoying my time with my Mimi. I am having a great time. I truly am. But my family back home is always on my mind and it's always such a welcome treat when I can wrap my arms around my daddy, laugh with my mom, tease my baby brother, Aaron and reunite with my twin sister, who is two years younger than I. :)

Me and my daddy.

LOL..This is my mom with her grandson (my nephew Devyn) I couldn't find a picture of both of us on my laptop.

This was taken a long time ago but may just be one of my favorite pictures of the three of us.

Miss you all. See you sooner than later!!

Meet Celly....

Today for Memorial day we didn't do anything too spectacular. However my aunt and I went out for a little while and she got me an early birthday gift...
LOL...yes, this is a cell phone! She got me a cell phone! And no, I didn't have one before. Unless you count the one I had last year that lasted like two months. The best part about this phone, it's prepaid!! It is so cool!!! Has a camera in it and everything!!!

Isn't adorable?? I am so excited about it!! I talked to my family on it for a long time tonight. After nine, it's free! Don't you love that little feature?? It's so cool!!!I am so thrilled!!! Thank you, Aunt Barbara!!!

Don't Forget...

The men and women who have lost their lives for our Freedom. The blood they shed gives us the right to be able to be an American. As we enjoy this long weekend, let's not forget the sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, fathers and mothers... a friend. Who someone has lost.

I went out today!

I have had a great time with Mimi. She is feeling a lot better. I am still with her enjoying every minute. BUT...today my aunt took me to get my hair cut and we went to the mall. AND we really were not gone too long!! So, Mimi was fine. Mimi really wanted me to have a few hours out of the house to get some fresh air.
So, how do you like my new do?

Please ignore the fatigue in my eyes. I look like I am going to dose before the picture is snapped.

Okay, I am signing off. Tell me how you like my hair...

A baby girl has gone home.

I have been blogging for a year, and within that year my faithful blog readers have learned three things about me. I am a born again Christian, I love Southern Gospel Music and my heart was especially made to love children.

This afternoon I received an email about a Christian singer who has written many wonderful songs, and has sung for years. (He is not a SG singer and some of his music really is not my type.) But that really is not the point.

His youngest child was killed in an accident last night. I couldn't believe it when I read it. My heart and prayers are with the Chapman family. His little girl is now with our Lord and Savior.
Please pray for this family. This is a horrible tragedy. You just don't think something like this could happen until it happens.
"So I will dance with Cinderella While she is here in my arms' Cause I know something the prince never knew. Oh, I will dance with Cinderella, I don't want to miss even one song, 'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight And she'll be gone..." "Cinderella" Written by Steven Curtis Chapman

A Crisis.

This morning when I woke up I had nothing planned. I didn't wake up with a terrific post up my sleeve that I couldn't wait to publish. Instead I woke up with my hair tousled trying to stumble out of bed with out stubbing a toe. Saying good morning to Mimi while I made myself some oatmeal.

Eventually we both made our way out to the porch (It's another living room that we call the porch) I took out my laptop, set it up on the bed out here, and waited for it to warm up. My mind wandered while I waited, thinking I wanted to check Ashleigh's blog to see if she posted about how she was feeling from being really sick. Thinking if Morgan Denise posted another adorable picture of her niece on her blog.

BUT...my wondering brain came to a complete halt when Mimi's wonderful wireless connection did not connect to my laptop!! My hands got all sweaty while I started to panic. Why is this not working? Is it my laptop? Will I need to call Dr.Laplittle? How will I chat with Carole on IM? How will I check my email?Write in my blog? Check all my bloggie buddies blogs? LIFE WITHOUT THE INTERNET????? Okay, panic is a small word maybe I was hyperventilating.

So, I decided I would call my aunt at work (Mimi suggested it) To my delight my aunt said her laptop wouldn't get on the Internet either, or my cousin's computer. "Really?" "That's wonderful!" Yeah...so I sound a little self centered, but I was afraid my beloved laptop had broken. (But that wasn't the case) The wireless had gone haywire.

So after my aunt called the wireless company while, I was on the other line, she told me what to do and walla the Internet was back on. A small crisis resolved. LOL...

So now that the Internet is on I am a happy camper!! I'll be blogging later!

Hi to All!

Wow, it blows my mind how fast the time goes. I can not believe it's Monday again! Mimi is feeling so much better compared to how she was feeling last week. I have no idea what I am going to do for supper tonight. Last night me and Mimi decided we would order in and had some delicious sandwiches.

I was able to see my brother, Stephen, and sister in law, Liz, yesterday. They came over to the house to see how Mimi's doing and to bring her a washing machine. Her old one died. Of course something didn't work so Stephen has to come back later and fix it. It's so exciting to think only a couple more months and my little niece will be born.

I haven't done any scrap booking while I've been here. I brought all my scrap booking things, but just haven't had much time to do it. I still want to straighten up the island in the kitchen that I haven't done yet and believe it or not but I think the sink is actually empty!! As my four year old nephew would say... "WoooHoo!!"

I also wanted to bring your attention to my cousin's brand new blog. He is very excited about it. I am trying figure out why it won't let me put a new template on it. Hopefully I can figure it out. Anyhow, go check it out and leave Kyle a comment. He will be glad you did.

Well, I will be getting off for now.

Happy Birthday, Patrick!

Happy Birthday, my doll!! I love you with my whole heart. You are my special first born nephew. I hope you have a wonderful fourth birthday!

All My Ducks in a Row.

Or something like that... I never said I was great at quoting sayings. As I sit on my bed listening to an artist on the television paint his master piece, I am thinking about what I should be doing or what I have already done.

I haven't made supper yet. I am not sure what I am going to do tonight. I am thinking about hot dogs and beans. Speaking of dogs I need to go let them out. (A little updated version on this sentence it looks like we will be having McDonald's tonight that will be easy:)

The shells my sister brought over last night were delicious. She wasn't able to bring the boys. They were tired and restless, so they stayed home with daddy.

I am sure every single bloggie buddy of mine will want to applaud for me when I say I finished the dishes!!! THANK YOU!!! LOL... Although some how I really don't know how it happened, but I am almost sure when I went by the sink today, I saw more dishes! Excuse me while I sob.

Last night I was so happy I was done with the dishes before midnight. I put on my pj's,brushed my teeth and read my Bible and was already to settle down. I put on a Cosby show episode and lay down in my bed. Mimi ,who I share the room with, was looking at catalogs and stuff while I watched some TV.

All of the sudden I saw the most creepy looking spider that I am almost positive came from Africa or something. I watch it struggle to stay on it's web it climbs up it falls back down it climbs up it falls back down. I am getting nervous now. I look over to Mimi. "I don't want to freak you out, but there is a spider above your legs. Well, needless to say the spider was climbing down again. I think Mimi got up the fastest I have seen her this week.

We were about to find another room to sleep in when the spider was crawling down the web fast. I don't know where this bravery came from. I prayed I wouldn't miss it while I climbed on the bed grabbed a paper towel and smooshed the spider with all my might.

We then climbed back into bed and were able to sleep in our room with out having to fear for that creepy spider!

I really need to close for now.

The Dishes Hate Me:(

I am not sure what I did to the dishes but they have a shared hate for me. I am kind of distressed about it. I didn't know I could be hated that much. To my Mimi's dismay, I started tackling those evil dishes at one in the morning. She wanted me to rest, but honestly, I had energy that surged through me all of the sudden I think it had to do with the forth jalapeno popper I ate it must have had a hint of espresso in it or something.

So, first off, I washed all of Mimi's very fine dinner ware. I then moved on to the forks, and as I washed the fork with the dish cloth, watching it turn shiny again, I tried to remember what this eating utensil was called. I then realized I may just need to get to bed. So, needless to say I still have some of those hateful dishes just waiting for me to wash them clean. Sigh...

My Aunt brought home subs for dinner last night. They were really good. I had an Italian with hots. Yum! That is my absolute favorite. Mimi had eggplant. Tonight I was going to use a recipe Tiffany emailed me. It sounded really good.

However, my older sister just called and asked if we wanted her to bring us some stuffed shells for dinner. Have I mentioned lately how much I love you, Leslie?? I am also going to be able to see my nephews! YAY!!

I wanted to thank all of you for all your sweet comments on my last post. Mimi is still hurting pretty badly. She has a hard time moving around. She basically needs to stay in bed. I can't believe it's already noon. The day goes so fast. Soon the dogs will be asking to go back out. There is never a dull moment!!

You should have seen me this morning. My cousin is outside I go to the back door. "Are the garbage cans empty?" "What?""Are the garbage cans empty?" "Are they dusty?" "Are they EMPTY?" "OHHH, yes!" "Okay, bring them in!" LOL...never a dull moment!

Catching up!

Have all of you been wondering where I have been? It's been a few days since I posted, but I have a very good excuse. My Mimi (my grandmother) fell Saturday morning. She had been hanging a valance and fell backwards and hit her head, her ribs just about all over. Except for hurting an awful lot, she is okay. But I am with her at her house to help her out.

I don't mind at all it's always fun to have an excuse to be with Mimi. Although, since Mimi is in bed, I have been helping out around the house. Making supper...*Smile* telling myself I need to wash the dishes... *Another big smile* Making coffee, heating hot pads for her neck and ribs, answering the phone (I'm great at that) Keeping her company (An expert at that) It's been fun.

If anyone has some easy recipes that they think I should make, just leave me a comment or an email. I am open for anything since I am now a cute little lady of the house. *Grin*

In other news a big time singer songwriter in the Southern Gospel world died on Mother's Day. Dottie Rambo who wrote songs like... We Shall Behold Him, He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Need and many more. Died in a tour bus accident. She was 74. She is just one of those legends I have always admired. I dream of becoming as good a writer as Mrs.Rambo one of these days.

I guess I should end for now and really start tackling those dishes. I will be coming back and posting soon. Maybe even later today!!

Happy Mother's Day.

When I was a baby, I lifted my arms to her.

When I was three, I wanted to marry her.

When I was six, I didn't want to leave her side.

When I was nine, I wanted to be a teacher just like her.

When I was thirteen, I thought I was smarter than her.

When I was sixteen, I realized I wasn't.

When I was eighteen, I knew one day I would have to leave her...

Now that I'm twenty, I have become her.

I love you Mom!!! Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there.

Happy Birthday,Maddie!!

I still remember when your mom put you in my arms, your head full of hair snuggled on my arm. She whispered in your ear while I was smiling down at you, "Ginger, will be babysitting you."

Just a few months later I did just that. I taught you what lip stick was before you even cut your first tooth. When you got a little older our favorite game was to count the steps on your front porch.

Woody, (From Toy Story) was our favorite doll to play with. I could make him dance,talk,laugh...We had a blast.

My purse was our thing. You would see it and know that it was okay with me if you took every article out.

In nursery you were my favorite, but don't tell anyone okay??

Now, my Maddie, you are the big 8. I can hardly believe it!! The hugs that greet me when I see you takes me back to the church foyer when I held you for the first time...
Maddie, I LOVE you!!! Have a great birthday!!

A Couple of Things.

I just wanted to draw your attention to two things! Number one: I have a new feature to this blog. On my profile page I set up an email just for all of you. If you have some questions, suggestions concerning either of my blogs, some thing you'd rather me see and not all the other bloggers. Or for whatever else, it's for you to use.

Number two: I just finished a new post on my Xanga site .I thought it was about time to update! LOL So check it out and leave a comment!

You all have a great night!!

The Omelet that went WAY wrong!!

Today I decided to practice my "homey" skills. If you are regular reader on this blog then you know in that area there is much to be desired. I had a craving for an omelet. A nice broccoli and cheese omelet.

I took out the frying pan, butter, frozen (Very important detail in this story) broccoli and cheese. Wait a minute. There is something missing in this list of ingredients. Oh yeah...I also took out the eggs. Oopps!

A small white cereal bowl welcomed all my ingredients in it's deep round surface. I mixed it well with a fork. Watching the yellow yoke swish around the chunks of cheese and broccoli, I threw in some garlic salt for good measure and I was all ready to cook.

I turned on the burner, melted the butter, watched it dissolve into nothingness and then I poured my eggy mixture into the sizzling pan. I turned down the burner and watched it turn slowly into an egg looking pie with green trees popping out.

I went over to the kitchen table and logged onto the Internet while I heard my egg crackle and pop and no there was no rice crispies in it. A couple of minutes later, I checked the omelet and decided it was about time to fold it.

Well.... the sides started to cave in like the red sea right after the Israelites got safely onto shore. I pulled the spatula out so quickly as if the heat from the pan burnt me personally. I looked at it with a perplexed look on my face. What to do? I thought.

So I delved in the second time. By this time mom was in the room watching me. She decided to help. Of course I had done too much damage to the poor egg, so she basically half folded it. Of course by the time it was on my plate it looked like egg mush.

It will taste the same mom assured me. I poked my fork in the eggy mush and put a steaming piece of broccoli into my mouth. Let me tell ya, looks can be deceiving. Ahh...ummm eeek!!! It's frozen. Yuck it's frozen!

Needless to say the frying pan that was just placed in the sink got washed went back onto the burner and was welcomed by a half bitten omelet.

So how was my lunch? Filling.

Real Life.

Shhhh!! Just listen. What do you hear? Anything at all? Just the slow humming of your computer? The sound of your own quiet breathing through out the room? I hear The Waltons ending in the other room. I hear my parents chatting next to me as my mom scrapbooks. It may not be silent as I try to blog, but it's my life and for that I have a smile on my face!

I am trying to write a sweet post. I am trying to make you all want to sigh. But needless to say the Waltons are over and Carole is in here being loud and fooling around with me as I try to write this sweet post. Do I have any sympathy??

By the way, that stillness, that quietness, that smile is gone!! She is now talking by my ear, right by my ear, chewing Oreos IN MY EAR!! The basketball game is on the radio right near me, fuzz and all! Gulping. I am now hearing gulping from the same culprit by my ear. Gulping that milky substance by my ear!! Forget sweet!!!!

Forget sweet. Lets talk about real life!!! You know, God really does have sense of humor. I was all ready to write a mushy post. But within two minutes that was gone and in its place was real life. Aaron gives me a time check at how long I have before we watch a movie. Carole comes in here being a nut, trying to make me laugh. Which of course she was successful. For the last paragraph I was laughing so hard I could hardly type. If I could just describe how my dad's facial expression made me and my sister want to fall on the floor laughing, I would do so.

This post is nothing that I had envisioned when I first started it. Because of that I have to change my title. So, what is the meaning of this post you may ask?

That even on the craziest nights were you want to pull your hair out or put ear plugs in your ears, or want to leave the madness, you can't live without the people you love the most!!!

Sometimes you just have to laugh

Saturday morning I woke up bright and early, took a shower, ate breakfast, got dressed and did my make up before the clock struck nine. I was all ready and proud of it. My bed was made, my camera batteries were charged and I even had time to jump on my laptop and check some blogs and even commented on some of them!! I was thrilled. Then I heard the dreaded words "Girls, five minutes!" As soon as I heard my dad's familiar voice, I realized one tiny, little problem. I forgot to pick out a pair of heels!

So I scrunched down on the floor, peeked under my bed and started grabbing shoes randomly.... won't go with this outfit...too flat...too fallish...too casual. Ahh, I finally found the perfect pair. Brown with a little opening in the front so you could see some toe and a very high heel. I was set. They matched the sweater I was wearing and I was happy. I closed down my laptop, put it in my handy dandy laptop bag and decided I really was going to bring it with me. (Call me crazy)lol

We all scurried into the car and started our long trip to the ceremony place. I read some of the way but when my eye lids started to flutter and flap and started to do this weired aerobics kind of thing, I decided I needed not to fight it any longer. I was going to take a nap. So I took my mp3 player out of my purse, put the head phones in and let the music do its job.

Of course that was short lived when Carole picked up the tiny little thing and checked what song I was listening to. "No fair. You didn't even invite me to listen with you...and you are listening to my favorite song!" So, she did the only natural thing she could do. She pulled one of the ear phone thingys out of my listening ear and popped it into her own. She then rewound the song and leaned her head on my shoulder and that is how I fell asleep.

I woke up an hour later to hear my mom say... "We're lost. I knew it, we are lost." Comforting words to wake up to, I'm tellin' ya! Of course, then I heard my dad's non patronizing voice say "We are not lost. I know where we are!" Well, that went back and forth for a while and then we saw the building. I guess dad was right!

As we pulled into the parking lot, we saw friends of ours just entering the building, we waved and quickly parked the car and made the long walk to the front door. Let me rephrase that last sentence. Long and torturous, unusual punishment for a girl with very uncomfortable cute shoes!!

We made it into the building where we were welcomed with drawings galore. I saw many familiar faces including Dr.Laplittle and he showed me where Mackenzie and the rest of my peeps were. Including my Mimi! After chatting and laughing for a while, the ceremony started. I found a seat right next to Mimi.

The announcer came up, welcomed everyone and then said "Before we start the awards, we have a very special guest. He is a story teller and a folk singer." I leaned over to Mimi "This should be interesting." This guy with way too much hair and a mismatched vest waltzed up the stage. He had a rather LOUD mouth and he looked like he should have been in the woods hugging a tree. Ya...this would be fun.

The first words he started off with was "When my son was a baby..."Guess where this was going?? Well, in the story they were traveling in the woods and the kid saw a crow...or a vulture or something like that. I'm telling you, I was border then bored. The only thing that was interesting was to watch Carole's and Mackenzie's and our friend Rosie's faces. Of course I am sure Mimi enjoyed my comments through out the boring show.

Okay, so this is what he did. He started rambling about mother nature and how we need to protect the earth blah...blah...blah. Then he started rambling about how he loves listening to rain storms. Ya...okay...rain storms??? As in thunder? As in lightening? You mean the bolts of electricity that flash through your home? You mean that storm that is called a thunder storm which I have hated since I was 10??? Yup...so he started directing each row of people to start swishing their hands together, snapping...hitting their legs...stomping on the ground. Oh...yes that was my favorite part. Afterwards he told us that if one person refused to participate it would not have been as affective. LOL...Thank you...thank you, that would be me!!

This guy was nuts and way too into nature. I am so not trying to offend people who love the outdoors. I like outside as much as the next person. But I get so sick of people getting into the nature thing but not one time did I hear the wacko, really needs a hair cut, dude say anything about God!!

He then pulled out many instruments. I cringed at the sight. He starts singing this really interesting dity and started slapping his face and using a violin and I don't know, singing something about a two minute song. I was relieved when friends ours with many children had four of their little girls that needed to use the bathroom. "I'm on it!" I almost yelled. I jumped right up and escorted them all to the restroom hoping we would need to stay in the cramped room until it was over. Fat chance!

He finally ended. Finally, after I don't know how many hours and the awards hadn't even begun!! Thankfully it was a little more enjoyable watching, Maddie and Mackenzie and my cousin Kyle just to name a few accept their awards.

After the ceremony was over, I walked into the foyer with my heels in my hands. Owww!! Ya my feet looked kinda cramped in those adorable shoes I just had to wear! But, with all this negativity I need to brighten up the day's activities with a really cool thing I got while I was there.

Dr.Laplittle gave me a battery thing so I can plug in my laptop while I am in the car! Man, was I thrilled. *Smile* We stopped at Best Buy before we got home. I got a Cosby show season and we watched it on my laptop the rest of the way home. And you all thought I was nuts for bringing my laptop with me?? LOL

Okay, I hope you all enjoyed my very funny story. I am going to take a walk with my homeschooling fam. Then we are going shopping tonight so maybe I will gather some material for another post!

Okay...Until next time!:)

Everyone Listen Up!!

I have another blog I want all of you to check out! My Aunt Carol started an Xanga site and it's great! She is one incredible, talented artist and has posted many of her drawings. So check it out and leave her a comment!! I know you will really enjoy her site!

The award ceremony went well. *Grin* When I am a little more awake and don't have to get up for church in the morning, I will share a humorous story with all of you!! Hint: It's about the ceremony you know the one that I just said went well?? *Smile* You'll see...or read I should say.

I am heading off to beddy bye. Everyone have a great night!!

24 hours is just not enough...

Lately I have realized that the day just flies by way too fast!! I get up, go to school, get home, chat about my day, surf on the net, watch TV, eat dinner do some scrap booking which yes I have gotten totally into!! And then the day is over. It's eight minutes before nine!! ALREADY!! I'm tellin' ya, way too fast!

I still have to find something to wear for tomorrow! (An award ceremony some of my mom's art students will be presented with awards galore.) And I have to look dressy\casual. The rudeness of it all! So, here I am in my jammies ready to fall asleep. No exaggeration at all I am beat!! And I still have nothing to wear!!! Do you feel my pan??

Batteries for camera charging:CHECK
Outfit to wear: YA RIGHT
Flip Flops: Golden Sparkle check....or should I wear my black high heal shoes?? Mom distinctly said she did not want us showing up looking like refuges. An excuse to wear heels...hmmm...who do I think I'm kidding I always wear heels!
(Anyhow back to my check list.)
Laptop all ready to go for the ride? And you thought I would leave this at home?? What if the building has wireless? I could give all my bloggers a play by play of the ceremony.

Believe me my check list is not this short but it's making my head hurt just thinking about it. So, back to I so don't want to get up in the morning thing!!! I am so tired!!!

Okay, no more stalling. I need to face my fears and find something to wear!! I really should...okay I am really going...really, I am...right...now! You see, I'm gone. I'm really not typing really...Oh, man do I have to get off? I'd much rather blog about absolutely nothing than find something to wear!! *SOB*

Okay, I'm gone....for now...
