Laptop!!

(Big Groan) I have written this post half a million times since yesterday afternoon. One thing after another has made me stop or pause or even restart this post. Even though I am on my February vacation, I still keep busy. This week I am spending my school free days with my Mimi. It's been a blast so far. We are planning on going shopping sometime tonight. That will be an adventure I am sure.

If I put on my makeup before I publish this, I may even have some pictures for you. But no promises on that one. I just took some bites of my sour pickle I have in the fridge. Mmmm that was good. I just love a good ole sour pickle to brighten up my day.

I can't believe it is already Tuesday and I have let my bloggie buddies wait this long for another post. Well, my biggest news this week besides staying at my grandmothers is, Mackenzie and her family had a BIG surprise for me when we went over to their house this past Sunday evening.

I had brought my laptop over their house so Mr.H (Mackenzie's dad) who will be affectionately known in this story as Dr.Laplittle, could put a new hard drive in it. My laptop is old and didn't have much space for pictures and other stuff, although I still loved it in spite of that fact.Anyhow I was quite excited over the prospect of getting a new hard drive so I could have more space and was thrilled Dr.Laplittle was working on it.

He told me it was almost done and I wasn't worried about it I was having fun chatting and laughing with everyone else. Just a few wee minutes after his first announcement that it was almost done, he and Mackenzie went upstairs together. I thought to myself that maybe my laptop needed a second opinion.

When they came back down, I looked over my shoulder to see that Dr.Laplittle had a laptop in his hands, but it did not appear to look anything like mine.

My first thought that came into my mind was "That is not my laptop." another thought... "What happened in surgery? Something must have gone wrong or...right?" Okay so I was confused, very confused.

This black top silver all over laptop that is almost brand new, was practically in my grasp. Looking at the faces surrounding me, and the smiles that were on them, gave me some clue that they were serious, and that this laptop was mine!!!

After a few squeals and squeaks that came from somewhere inside of me, I croaked out. "Are you serious?" The laughs and nods confirmed it for me.

Yes, they gave me a beautiful laptop with loads of features including a DVD player inside of it. Pictures will be coming soon.

Side note: Dr.Laplittle came from Dr.Doolittle I thought that was a creative name if I do say so myself!

A Laugh And A Half

Today when I was at JCpenny's, I was at the register while the cashier rung my items up (just a small tidbit, I saved a hundred and ninety dollars and only paid 13 something.)

Anywho, my mom and the rest of the family were done shopping and were waiting for me at the door. There is one chair right next to the doors where my mom will often go and sit down.

Well, as soon as I was done, I took my large bag and purse and walked toward my family when my mom stood up this old man who was standing nearby huffed and groaned and said "Well, thank you!!" LOL....Translation "Finally" My mom so sweetly said "I am sorry." With her hand on the door. "I would've moved a long time ago...you old grump." LOL....okay, so she didn't say that last part. But I wanted to!!!

I thought that was so rude. Carole let me know as we walked into the parking lot that he was a ornery old goat!!

A Princess With An Edge: Part Three

Last week Courtney participated and this week both Mackenzie and Anna Joy added on. As for me adding on this week, I am going to hold off and see how the story will go without me.

One bright morning, a fair maiden came into her castle. Her name was Lacy and she was adored by all. She had riches galore and more shoes than she knew what to do with. Her hair was glistening red and almost looked like a bushel of strawberriess. When she smiled people said the sun would shine brighter. But there was one unpleasant thing about Lacy. She had a temper, one mean temper. Although most people didn't know that about her. Most people thought she was a gem.The only people who knew were the people who served her in the castle.

They could tell you the exact time and place she would blow....Her nose.....her temper, I mean. One dreary day, early in the week, a strange sensation filled the air; something was not right. Suddenly, with little or no notice at all, it happened....AGHHHHCHOOOO!!! All the servants jumped and immediately knew that the princess had finally blew it.......her nose, I mean. Reaching for another tissue, the princess groped only in vain for alas, the Kleenex box was empty. With cheeks all flushed and steam arising, she let out a holler and the servants trembled and cringed at the thought of the wrath to come; their dear princess had finally blew.......her temper, I mean...........her nose.

Although she couldn't because there were no tissues. So she ran with all her might to the nearest restroom. Her gorgous satin, blue gown flew behind her as she reached the pale white door. She opened it with fury and dashed to the vanity where she found a gold plated tissue box. As she grabbed a cotton soft tissue and whiped the nose in question, she turned furious eyes to her loyal servants who watched her from a far."You!" She pointed one slim finger at a petite maid with her brunette hair piled upon of her head. Her black and white uniform was crisp and ironed. She tried to stop the shaking in her legs. "Why didn't you refill my kleenex box?" "I....I..." She stutered. "I...I what?" The princess hollered.Right before the princess could tell the young maid she was fired, something happened.

Something no one expected......she sneezed! And again, and again, and AGAIN!!! "I think I'm getting a cold! Cancel all my appointments for today!" she yelled and stalked back to her room. The poor little maid sighed with relief. Saved by the sneeze! The princess had forgotten to fire her! Meanwhile the princess lay in her princess-sized bed (Bigger than a king-sized, even) and waited for one of the servants to come take care of her.

"They HEARD me say I had a cold! Why is no one up here to see that I'm comfortable, bring me chicken noodle soup, and wipe my nose?" It is a very well known fact that princess's should never be forced to wipe their own noses when they are sick...it's far below them. Not their nose...the action of wiping. So the princess lay in bed getting madder and madder, and when the maid finally opened the door and came in with her soup, she had the horrible misfortune to spill it all over the white carpet!

The princess had been very angry before, but now she was FURIOUS!!! Suddenly, something happened that made her forget her anger...the maid opened her mouth and said the most astonishing thing...,..

The maid, named Mandy, put her hands on her hips and said, "Wipe your own nose for a change!!" Princess Lacy and the maid were going at it, when the butler came in. Princess Lacy looked at the butler, fire in her eyes. "WHAT!!!??" she yelled. "I-I'm sorry Princess, but your father insists on seeing you."

Princess Lacy nodded and her tone changed. "Thank you. Maid, we will discuss your future here, later. Now, go and wash floors or something. Butler, where is father?" she asked. "The Throne Room, Princess." he replied. Princess Lacy headed down the maze of hallways to the Throne Room where her father sat in his gigantic chair. He looked up, "Lacy! I'm glad you're here." Princess Lacy smiled at her father. "What is it, father?" she asked. "Well, I know how you've always been the only child in this castle.

Your mother died when you were only 3 and I know you must be lonely sometimes. So I invited another princess to come and live with us for awhile." Princess Lacy was shocked. "What? I'm not lonely. I'm very content, father. Tell her she does not have to come." she politely said. Her father just smiled. "She is already here." he replied, and nodded his head to the butler, "Lacy, meet Gwendolyn. She is from the East Kingdom." Lacy looked over at the other Princess. She had bright, long, red hair cascading down her back, big round green eyes and wore a clean peasant dress. Princess Lacy was disgusted. "Father, she is a Princess??" she asked. She took a look at Gwendolyn and then at herself. Lacy had her brown hair in a neat braid and wore a blue gown with jewels on the waist and neckline. "Yes, she is. And a very pretty one at that." her father said. Her father then told them to go and get acquainted.

So reluctantly, Princess Lacy went. She found out that Gwendolyn was the complete opposite of Lacy loved horses, Gwendolyn loved donkeys. Lacy loved ziti, Gwendolyn loved spaghetti. But the biggest difference between them, was Lacy had a temper, Gwendolyn was nice all the time. They were having tea and one of the maids tripped and splashed tea all over Gwendolyn and Lacy. "OH!! I'm soooo sorry your highnesses!!" Gwendolyn laughed, wiped herself off and said, "Oh, that's alright. Are you okay, miss?"

But as for Princess Lacy, she.................

Weekend

My eyes are trying to stay open as I type this post. I am wondering why my font is blue and am wondering if I will be able to change it. When you are reading this and the font is blue, hopefully, you will still be able to see it.

We went to my cousin's wedding on Saturday and it was a very interesting event. I totally loved her dress (the fabric, mostly.) It was so pretty! She had red trim around the top and on the back and in the veil. Sigh....so pretty! Hopefully I will be able to show you some pictures of me and my sister all dressed up later.

I had a great time with my grandmother "Mimi." We went shopping today and we were able to hang out with eachother after church last night, just the two of us. It was a fun time.

Now, I will tell you something that was not fun and that was bringing our luggage back in the house. It was a horriable experience. I am talking about lugging bags and pocket books and a laptop case...etc, etc into the house falling into certain men's footsteps. LOL...I wanted to take a picture of my sister Carole. It was hysterical watching her try to carry a bag through that snow.

Okay, I am going to end for now. I will try to write more tomorrow.

A Funny Story!

This morning I got up for school and did my normal routine...make up...clothes...breakfast...etc. When I was waiting for my ride, my brother decided to tell me a very humourous story that happened just a few, wee minutes before I got up.

Thumper is my cat (my little baby) when he isn't trying to bite through my nylons while they are on me, like he was doing two minutes before I started writing this post!:D

Well, my sources tell me, this morning he was being quite a rascal! He pulled "October" off of my velcro calender I have in my dayhome. While my dad went to retrieve the month, pulling three puzzles off my puzzle rack as well. Thumper scurried into the kitchen to find the tuna my dad had in a bowl that he was going to make a sandwhich with.

Although, as my dad found out very soon after he gave up the search on October, that he would not be having Tuna for lunch.

There Thumper sat on the table eating his tuna. LOL

I thought that was great!

The Princess With An Edge: Part Two

I started this story last week, when I couldn't think of something to post. I was hoping people would continue the story but only one blogger did it, who was Courtney. I was glad to see her part of the story and thought it was great.

So I am going to continue this story and hopefully by tomorrow afternoon when I come home from work, I will see more participant's comments in my comment box!! LOL...Thanks Courtney for your part...I continued from Courtney's and now you can continue from mine and if there is already a commnet or comments in my box continue from the one above yours. Remember keep it clean!

I've been "Aunt" tagged

I’ve been tagged! Morgan Denise has tagged me to tell 10 things about Patrick and Devyn that only an aunt knows.

1.Deyvn is such a happy baby who loves to smile and laugh. His chubby cheeks turn a bright shade of red when he gets tickled to death.

2. Patrick is a goof ball. Who loves to make his aunt do things that she would only do for him. Like make a complete fool of herself, playing puppets with a unique accent.
3. Patrick has this habbit of going completly wild when he is around a camera.
4. Patrick and Devyn are both so adorable when they are sleeping.

5. Patrick is very patriotic

6. Devyn loves to eat! His Aunt Ginger loves to give him pickles and watch him make faces and ask for more.
7. Patrick loves to cook. His faviorte thing to make is stuffed shells. While he makes them, he puts one" seceret" ingrident in. He shared it with me. He licks every shell before it goes into the pan.YUM!
8. Patrick and Devyn may just be two of the cutest boys ever!!

9.Devyn was born on Thanksgiving day. What a blessing he is!

10. Being an aunt has suited me just fine. Leslie (My older sister) and brother in law Joe are the parents of these two adorable babies. Come July (My birthday month) My older brother Stephen and sister in law Liz will make me an Aunt again. Preferably on my birthday!:)

I can think of one other Aunt that I know of besides Morgan Denise and that is Jessica. So if you are an Aunt feel free to do this tag. It's quite fun!!

Tagged Again!

When I was blog surfing last night I found out two people on their blogs, had tagged me. Morgan tagged me on this tag which I am preparing to do right now. And Morgan Denise tagged me on her blog which I will do later, because I want to add pictures with that certain tag.

So here are the rules for this meme : (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

1. I hate opening doors etc. in public. I either back up and let someone else open it or I will pull my sleeve over my hand and do it myself. It's very hard in the summer though, with no sleeves. So sometimes I am stuck opening it with my bare hands. YUCK!

2. I love reading my favorite parts in novels, over and over again.

3. I will soak up any information about Southern Gospel music. I also love listening to that type of music.

4. I never liked Thunder Storms and to this day they're not my faviorte thing in the summer.

5. I could watch Love Comes Softly every day for the rest of my life, if Carole would just let me!!LOL

6. I love bargain shopping.

Since I have done this type of tag before and tagged many of you many times, I will let this tag be opened to anyone who wants to do this.

Thanks Morgan for thinking of me!!

The Princess With An Edge: Part One

Okay, I am going to start a story and it will be your job to help me continue it. If enough people participate we can see how long this story will go.

I will post a new part every Wendnesday. Please keep it clean. When you read my story and if people have already began leaving comments, continue from the one that is above yours. Here it goes.

Most people thought she was a gem.

The only people who knew were the people who served her in the castle. They could tell you the exact time and place she would blow....

Add people, add props tell me the exact time and place she will loose her temper. Will it be at the breakfast table when her maid brings scrambled eggs instead of an omlet? Will it be when her loyal butler shines her favorite pair of dress shoes with bacon grease?

I can't wait to see where the story will go!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

After a home cooked meal at my grandmothers, watching the downfall of our precious Patriots loosing to the Giants and a lovley ride to and from our families abodes, I would have to say we had a memorable weekend.

We rode back this morning sleeping just for a while on the way and stopping at Burger King where I was almost sure I saw Rodney Griffin from Greater Vision (A Southern Gospel trio.) However, I then realized that most likley, he wasn't applying for a job at Burger King, which this man was doing, so it was a short lived fantasy.

We went to the church that had been our home church for a very long time before we moved. It was nice to visit again. After evening service, we headed to my brother's house to have a super bowl party that ended up being a funeral service. Of course, I was on my brother's laptop for half the night and playing games the other half. So, I really didn't see the Patriots loose, but man, did I hear the mourners!!

So, I really did have a good time and one great thing about the Patriots loosing is that all their gear will be half off soon!!:)

So, this is the part of my very exciting post, that I close.

Just Checking In

I have rewritten this post about a million times. My brain is not working tonight. I am tired. Very tired! I only had a half day of school, but I am still tired.

I am excitited though, because there is a big chance that I might get to see my Mimi this weekend. (Anyone who is new to this blog, Mimi is my grandmother.)

I also will get to see some of my other family and friends. So yes, maybe by next week you will get to see new pictures of my adorable nephews!! I might be able to post while I am at my grandmother's, but no promises. I am usually very busy while I am there.

I am sorry about how short and boring this post was, but I really felt I should at least post something. Since so many times I let my faithful blogger re-read my past posts becauce I hadn't posted in ten days:)

Have a wonderful night.
