Trampoline and more

I hope every ones Memorial Day went well. We didn't do anything too exciting. Yard work mostly...(groan) Oh, and Carole got hit by a football. Poor thing. She's lying down with a warm washcloth on her head right now. I gave her a freezing cold cloth before my mom told me the reason she may not like it is because it needs to be warm. lol....oops!

We also put up the trampoline. I worked sooooooooo hard on putting it up. I am aching all over! lol....Okay, so I may not be the most helpful person at those kind of things but, I was the faithful photographer! lol....Hey, I thought you guys may like seeing the process of putting up a trampoline. Although, you may have to wait because the computer does not seem to be cooperating with me tonight.

Oh, and just before I signed on to write this post there was this ugly spider on me. I am really freaking out! It could be anywhere. It was flicked off so it could be crawling on something or me again. (Shiver) I thought it was a tick (Our friendly neighbors this time of year) Ewww. I had a tick on me the other day. So creepy.

So anywho, I thought this ugly, disgusting, I think poisonous spider was a tick. If I stopped to think I would have realized that would have been one big tick! Even creepier. A tick full of blood ready to snatch my skin to get it's evil poison into my blood. Okay, so you may by now have realized I hate anything that crawls and creeps and attaches itself to me. Ewwww!!!

Well, yesterday we were getting ready to go to church. My dad turned the key and I started applying my lipstick when the engine wouldn't start. (That could be a problem if you want to go some where.) So, he tried again and again. Okay, so by the twentieth time it looked like we would be late for Sunday school. But the fiftieth time dad decided we would skip Sunday school and try for church.

So, I was able to catch up on my current novel I am reading and then the hour passed and the car still did not work. Ugh....so today we had it towed to the mechanics. Hopefully it will be fixed soon! Please pray for my car!

Well, I should sign off. I feel like something is crawling on me! Don't you hate that? Are you itching? lol...I know I am....ewww

Moose!

Okay, I know I just wrote in this blog today. But....lol...I was told it was boring! So, I decided I would try again. I have mentioned before that I love to write so I am going to write you a story. It may be plain silly or funny. I won't know until I start writing. Yes, I have no clue what it will be about. Hopefully I will have some comments saying it's not boring! lol....

Moose What's The Big Deal?
This is based on a true story concerning what happens when a moose comes into our yard. Embellishing may occur. I am licenced to do so. I am a writer! lol...

The plush couch is sitting directly in front of the TV where Ginger is sitting fascinated with what she is watching. Carole her younger sister waltzes into the room and plops herself next to her sister. "Why are you watching this?" Ginger shrugs "I don't know. Nothing else is on and it keeps my attention." Carole fully turns her body to face Ginger. "Are you serious? How are the Muppet's keeping your attention? Those two old bald guys drives me insane."

Ginger laughs but quickly turns back to the show as a pirate takes Fozie Bear into his grasps. Carole rolls her eyes while she takes the remote out of her sister's hand. "Hey!" Ginger screeches. "You can't be serious. I can't watch another second of this." Carole says as she changes the channel. Ginger was just about to pounce on her sister when both girl's parents and younger brother tip toe into the room. Their eyes glittering with excitement as their dad whispers loudly. "There's a moose outside!"

Remote forgotten the girls look at each other and back at the three "nature lovers" at the door. "So?" Carole says rather loudly which is met by all three with their fingers to their mouths. "SHHHHHH!" A moment later the two sisters cave into their gales of laughter while the three stooges quietly walk outside.

You can hear the hooves (Or whatever you call moose feet) Stomping closer to the house. A moment later a women comes to the door. They think she is their mother but her voice sounds different almost like a whisper. "Carole, go get your sister's camera." Carole does what she is told but not without a snicker as she climbs the stairs.

Seconds later Carole comes back down the stairs Ginger's digital in her grasps. The rest of the family comes inside. "He crossed the street already." Dad says with disappointment in his eyes. Aaron runs to the window to see if he can see one last glimpse and Mom tells Carole she should leave the camera down stairs just in case the moose decides to come back...

In the woods.
"Did we loose them?" The moose looks behind the bushes. "I think so." The other moose shakes his head. "They were some big ones!" One of the older moose laughs. "I thought the old guy might have squished me if he got any closer." "When will they ever get used to us?" The younger moose asks. "When we get used to them." His dad replies. The older moose laughs even harder. "I guess then skipper, the answer will be never!"

lol...I hope that was more appealing than the names I will some day name my children and what I had for dinner! Also, I wanted to mention that this was all done in fun. My family is not offended by this ridiculous story!lol... Have a good night!

Eating and reading

You all should be proud. I actually have something worth writing about! lol...Okay...so the post before this (about names) was a little strange. lol...I was tired!

Well, the other night after I was done torturing you with my last post the phone rang. My Uncle who travels for work all over this country was in our neck of the woods. He wanted to take us out to dinner while he was in the area.

So...me and my sister and brother ended up going with him to get the food and bringing it back to the house. We got Chinese food. Mmmm...one of my favorites! It was very good! The best part is there are leftovers for lunch today.

Right now I am reading a Terri Blackstock book called Justifiable Means. I have read this book twice already but, it's a really great book.

Okay, I have to go for now!

A question?

I always ask my family this question. If you had the choice what would you have named yourself? lol...Yes...I am drawing a writers block and can't think of one thing to write about. But, stick with me here. This is quite an educated question.

Say if your name was Thelma? Would you really liked that name? No offence to anyone out there named Thelma but....really would that be a name you would choose! If you could choose any name you want would you really choose Thelma?

Okay...how about Arnold...now for some strange reason me and my sister call my brother Aaron "Arnold" or "Arnie." Why, you may ask? I have no clue but I enjoy it fully. Although, Aaron does not see the humor. But, I would never name my poor child that.

I have been told though, that I have strange names for the children I want to have someday. Like Squire. Okay, I happen to like that name and Reginald and Remedy lol....no you did not read that wrong. I thought that would be a neat name for a little girl.

Oh wow, I am boring myself. I will leave you with this small fact. My cats full name is Thumper Alfred Allawishous (I do not know how to spell that). lol...okay, okay I'll get off!

No time to blog!

Okay, so I really have no time to blog as my title says. But still, I find myself at my pc blogging. Go figure! So, I haven't written in a few days due to fatigue! lol...School was Friday and I had a great time. Although, going over shapes with a first grader was fun but challenging. Besides that, I did reading and writing with a second grader.

I loved how every suggestion I gave her to write on her paper she loved. Apparently she didn't get it when I said "It's only an example come up with one on your own." Next time I am keeping my mouth shut!

Then that night a friend of the family called to tell me she was going to a southern gospel concert. She called numorous times during the concert to let me hear different people sing. Among them my favorites were Signature Sound and The Perry's. I thought that was pretty neat!

Saturday as in yesterday, I read, yapped on the phone and....watched a season finale of one of my favorite shows me and Carole watches every Saturday. Oh, I also painted my nails a pretty dark purple in honor of church today! lol...There was a visitor today at church. That was interesting. Ummm...we went to Walmart after church and went to the grocery store where me and my sister got a chocolate milk. lol...I know all of you are enjoying this!

Well, I really should stop typing I am already dressed for church so that is a plus. But, I do need to put my heels on and some earrings before it's time to leave. So, I will blog later have a great night!

Blogging

It's 8:45. I have exactly fifteen minutes to write a post before my show comes on. Will I make it? I have taken I don't know how long just to get this far. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with all I have to write and other times I wrack my brain for something worth writing about.

Starting a blog was something I wanted to do. I considered myspace (no offence to all the myspacers out there) but, that's just not for me. I like to be unique and instead of following the crowd I decided to be a blogger.

At first I wrote a post three times or so a week but, I had no comments. Except for one faithful reader, I think, I had no viewers. Then I understood how I needed to get them. I started googling different bloggers. I found this Christian girl around my age who is a home school graduate and still lives with her family. I thought this is neat. I went on her comments and found other people. I wrote a comment to her and others and lo and behold my comment in box started to fill up. I was so excited.

Now, I am addicted lol...I blog all the time. If I am not writing a post I am looking at my favorite blogs or searching for new ones. I am now a faithful blogger!

I hear the theme song of my show down stairs so I will end for now. But, I will leave you with this, being a blogger has opened my eyes to a new world. A world where I can share my faith, my life and just do what I love... writing. Thank you for reading my ramblings. I do appreciate it!

Part one: My Good Your Glory

Can you all keep a secret? Oh good, 'cause I really need to let it out! I hate change! Wow, you don't know how that felt. Wonderful! lol... All silliness aside I really do hate change. I hate the unknown. I don't like not knowing what will happen next.

Now, I am starting a day care aka: day home this summer. I work at a Christian school and now I am going to have an interview for this agency that takes care of elderly people. Let's pause here. The interview alone freaks me out! lol....What if I babble? Or stutter? Or don't know an answer? Then after the interview and whatever else, I meet the women. I will be helping three hours every day except for Wednesdays and weekends. How about if she doesn't like me? How about if I don't do what she wants me to do the way she wants it done?

I can get so worked up without stopping and praying. When I do pray I have a peace over me until I decide I need to worry again and that peace is gone. I need to learn to leave my fretting with the Lord. Please keep me in your prayers. I would so appreciate it.

Last night I was listening to this group called Lordsong and they were singing this song called "My Good Your Glory." The lyrics really helped me out. Now if I keep my mind set on this song alone I will be okay...

My Good, Your Glory

Verse 1: With every tide that turns Every day I learn More about the heart of You.Why should I ever doubt? I know You’ll bring me out.Your Word is faithful and true.I can face the trail when I think of what’s in store.I don’t have to understand it‘cause I know that it’s all for......

Chorus: My good, Your glory.Your grace will tell the story of my life...You’re keeping me day and night.Your Word, my promise. My faith will stand upon this truth I know. That things are going just as they should And it’s all working out for my good and Your glory.

Verse 2: In all Your power and might I know You still delight In taking care of one of Your own.So I’ll place my trust in You do what You want me to.My life depends on You alone. You see what’s ahead‘cause only You have gone before...Preparing my tomorrows With moments that are for...

Raining, reading and more

LOL....I am sure when you saw that title you couldn't wait to read my post. I am afraid I just don't have that much to write about today. It's raining today, it's still morning but it looks very dark and wet out.

I am reading Bamboo and Lace by Lori Wick of course. It's one of her older books. I have read it before but it's just as good the second time around. Nothing beats curling up in your bed on a rainy day and traveling to Hawaii where you know no one. (Sigh) What a life! lol...

It's not that I don't have anything else to talk about. I actually have big news but I don't know if I want to share it until I know it's definite. But when it is, I'll tell you about it. Until then I would appreciate your prayers on my little secret. I can tell you this I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Oh okay, I'll cave just a little. It's a job offer and it will be in the evening so it won't interfere with my day care or the school. But, that's all I am going to tell you!lol..

Okay, I should close for now. Keep dry and find a good book!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Oh Dear!

Well, I haven't written in my blog in a few days as you can see. No special reason, mainly because I haven't had time. Friday I went to school and had a great day. Each child in those two class rooms has a place in my heart. Oh...I could talk about them for hours.

There is this one kindergartner and he was in the first and second grade class for the week. Every Friday is Chapel and the whole school goes into the church auditorium. Well, I was just about to take my pew with a few of the students. The first and second grade teacher was taking the second pew with the rest of the kids. All of a sudden the little boy grabbed my arm and said he wanted me to sit with him!Aww isn't that the cutest thing you have ever heard of?!?!

On the subject of school, I decided I am going to blog about something that had happened to me a few Friday's ago. This happened while I took a quick restroom break before I headed down to the cafeteria for lunch.

I am a quiet person by nature. I can get to talking when I start to get to know you, but your first impression of me would probably be "She is either shy or a snob." lol... I have gotten both but I am not a snob. I am just shy!

Anyhow...so I am in one of the stalls getting ready to exit when the door would not open. "Oh dear!" I tried it again. Nothing. The third time I was starting to panic. There was no way I was going to draw attention to myself and cry for help. I was going to get out...but how, was beyond me!

When I decided that the door really wasn't going to open I weighed my options. I could stand there all day until somebody realized I was gone. I could pray until my head started to ache that God would give me a miracle and open the door. Or I could crawl under. Now you have to remember this is an elementary bathroom, the stall doors almost hit the ground. I was thinking the only thing that could be more embarrassing then this is if I got stuck!

After a few more silent seconds I decided crawling under or jumping over would be the only solution and there was no way in my life I would have even dreamed about jumping over. So I got on my hands and knees and crawled under the stall and prayed that no one would witness it. Thankfully nobody did.

I found out later that it happens often and you have to lift the door to lock and unlock it.
That was some useful knowledge. lol...

I hope all the mother's have a great mother's day today. I am going to head down to the kitchen to have dinner with my mom and my family.

HOT!

WOW....I am hot! (In the weather sense.) lol... But, there are some great things that come with the summer. Flip Flops, how could you live without flip flops? Could you imagine living in Alaska? No flip flops! They might have the cutest boots but no flip flops. I would be quite sad.

Next: sun glasses, I love sun glasses. At least I could use sun glasses in Alaska half of the year. You know, the great thing about sun glasses is you can get them in any color, in every shape and in every size...(sigh) I need to get to Penny's. It's Sun glasses shopping time again.

Toe nail polish. Now I must admit, I am one of those people who paints her toe nails in the dead of winter. Having bare toe nails is just ewww! lol...But, in the summer people can see my toe nails and I can see them and it's just a happy place.

Water, I love being able to sink my polished toes in the nice cool waters of a pool or beach. Sounds heavenly doesn't it?

Okay, enough of my ramblings I need to get a Popsicle.

A Mother's Prayer

Yesterday I was thinking about a mother that a friend of mine told me about. Her little boy is in a very progessive stage of Cystic Fibrosis. I received an email a week or so ago that he wasn't doing very well. I am not sure if this family is saved, but I wrote a poem with this mother in mind and I wrote it from a Christian prospectve. I ask you to pray for this family and that little baby.

A Mother’s Prayer

It was like a dream come true Lord, when I first held my newborn son. Do you remember how I couldn’t stop thanking you for the precious blessing you had given us? I was scared when they told me and my husband that our son had a disease. But I prayed Lord, you know. I prayed that he would be healed despite what they say.

Months turned to a year and every day he has gotten worse. Lord how can this be? He’s my son, my baby son. I know his every move, when he cries and when he laughs. He fills my heart with pleasure and the dreaded truth.

Every moment, every day I pray Lord, I pray. For one mighty touch on his precious heart to make that disease go away. I watch him decay away and my heart cries for this to change. Lord he gets worse every minute of every day. PLEASE MAKE THIS DISEASE GO AWAY!

Lord, I am sorry I just can’t accept that this child in my arms will soon draw his last breath. I fall on my knees and other days I praise, but, days like these I rant and rave.
Every moment he lives is a testimony to you. And one day soon I know he will be with you.

On days when I can’t get over the truth I think about you. I see the cross and your Son on that tree. Yes, you had to see him leave. Then my heart screams with joy for I know because your Son had to die for our sins and rose again. I will be able to see my son healthy and whole again.

I must admit, I know I will have to be reminded again how much you love me. For when I see my baby in his crib I ask you Lord, why does my son have to die?

The Cross

The cross is such a controversal thing. If you mention Jesus dying on that cross you can have so many reactions. People can say "I do believe he died, but I do not believe he rose again." Or "I believe he was crucified, but I think he was just an ordinary man. Not the Messiah." Or you can have the total opposite "I don't believe he even existed"

I was thinking about this subject on Sunday night when the pastor was preaching about how when Jesus was crucified he had us on His mind. Can you imagine that all the people who deny Christ even existed were on His mind? The people who curse His name every single day, acting like it's as normal as starting the car for work in the morning, were on His mind? How about the ones that turn away his perfect gift of salvation? They were on his mind. The most amazing thing is, I was on His mind. You were on His mind. Sinners that would be saved by the task He sufferd through on the cross, were on His mind.

Wow, it's quite amazing. I love it though that death couldn't hold Jesus. He arose again three days later and is coming again! Are you on His mind right now? Is He tugging at your heart to be saved? Come to Jesus now don't let another day go by.

Shopping!

We went shopping Saturday afternoon and I think I did pretty well if I do say so myself. I bought two tops for six dollars, a skirt for a dollar, a cute purse for three dollars and some other stuff including a cute pink cordless phone! So, I was happy with my finds!

I was able to change my earrings yesterday. I recently got double pierced ears and it hit the sixth week mark yesterday. So last night before I went to bed I changed my silver studs to cute blue ones that I also got on my shopping spree.

Lets see... we went to Burger King for lunch after we went to Marshall's (That's where I got my two tops). We also went to the dollar store where I picked up four graduation bears for my k5 students who are graduating this June. At Walmart we went grocery shopping and that's where I found most of mine finds.

Right now my family is playing Monopoly with the guest pastor who preached at our church today. His wife (my friend) is taking a nap so I decided to skip the game also and write in my blog. I meant to write yesterday after I came home, but for some reason the PC was giving me troubles. So I waited for today.

I guess I should end for now.

Friday!

Friday has always been my favorite day of the week. It used to mean a lot more to me when I was in school but I still enjoy it. Me and Carole usually will stay up and watch movies in my room or read in bed. Sometimes we will decide we want to pretend we are younger. ...lol...We watch Disney animated movies...like "Finding Nemo" or "Jungle Book 2." Thankfully we do not do that often. We are usually putting on one of our many seasons we have or movies like "Cinderella Story" or "Prinncess Diaries."

Today I would be at school but this week they are on vacation. I miss it! lol...Hopefully my daycare will begin in the summer so I won't be pining over working at the school. I am also hoping that my daycare won't be the only thing that I will be starting. I want to drive!! I really want my licence. lol...No, I don't have my licence yet but I am hoping I will have it before this year is up. I have driven around the yard. The first time I tried last summer, we had an old Lincoln and it was like driving a boat! I was so scared...lol....so was my dad. I was hitting the breaks so fast I think my dad got whiplash!lol...

Tomorrow we are going shopping. I am hoping we will stop by Marshalls. I love that store that and JCPenny's. I can get the cutest clothes for the lowest prices. Ahhh...yes I am very frugal. Although, sometimes I can't resist and spurlge on an adorable purse for fourteen dollars. Yeah...I know it's kinda high but you would have to see it to understand. I just had to have it!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend. I will let you know how my shopping went!

New York

I can't believe it, but, it has been two months since my cousin Tommy went to be with the Lord. He was twenty six years old and left behind his wife and two young children. He was suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and his battle ended on March third.

We traveled to New York for his wakes and funeral. Even though it was a very tough time we had peace in knowing where he is. He was a born again Christian. We know he is in heaven and one day I know I will see him again because I am also saved. So it wasn't all sorrowful. We had some fun and an interesting time being in Brooklyn.

Well, there is something you need to know. My dad hates the city! He didn't want to be driving our mini van but we really didn't have a choice. We followed my older brother's very huge van around New York City. He had a GPS and my dad knew Stephen knew where he was going. However sometimes the New York drivers didn't appreciate us "tourists" and tried to cut between my dad and brother. lol...that was fun! "Ginger, get on the phone!" Okay, we had a cell in the car and whenever someone got between us and my brother, my dad would flip!

Now we are going through a tunnel and I am wracking my brain "What is his number?" Now I had about three different numbers in the phone for different family members in the other van. I couldn't for the life of me remember how to get them. So I winged it. I dialed a number, a male voice picked up I thought "Oh good, I got it" I said "Stephen, dad wanted me to call you and let you know a jerk just cut us off." I wait for a response... laughter rings through the phone. Why Stephen thought this was humorous is beyond me. And then I knew. .. "Umm...I'm not Stephen." I let that register in my mind. "Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!" "No problem. Sorry about the jerk." lol...ooopps! When I dialed again I got Stephen and they were slowing down for us to catch up.

We definatly had some times to remember on that trip. I might share some more at a later time.

Advice: when you travel through New York make sure you know how to use a cell!
